Do you drive any of these vehicles I helped launch?

  1. Chrysler Pacifica

    2016

Best in class highway fuel economy

The iconic vehicle resurfaces, not as a SUV but as a minivan. It leaves the competition in the dust, however, with best-in-class highway fuel economy at 28 MPG. As a Powertrain Analysis Engineer on this project, I was responsible for ensuring that the vehicle achieves its fuel economy and performance targets. Since its launch, it has sold over 989,000 vehicles and has won over 140 awards and accolades from leading industry journals. For example, "Best Minivan of 2016" by Cars.com.
  2. Fiat New 500 BEV

    2019

    Europe's flagship small car

Small but mighty, this fully electric vehicle zips through tight roads like a hare in a slug's body. Perfect for old cities in Europe, where it was launched. As a Battery Electric Vehicle Optimization and Analysis Lead, I was responsible for setting this vehicle's electric range targets and then supporting a team in Italy to help achieve them (while I was in the US). Fun times! Since its launch, it has won 25 awards and accolades from leading industry journals.
  3. Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle

    2023

    NASA's Crew Transportation Vehicles

Are you ready to see astronauts fly to the moon in 2026? I surely am. Take a look at their chariot--isn't that a sweet looking ride? A fully electric pill-shaped van. As a Senior Systems Synthesis Engineer at Canoo, I was responsible for ensuring that the Lifestyle Vehicle (and its delivery counterpart) achieved its targets for a variety of customers, including NASA! It is ironic; its vehicles are transporting astronauts to their space shuttles, but the company has transported itself into bankruptcy. A classic example of how poor management can render good engineering to waste.
  4. Nikola Tre Fuel Cell EV

    2023

Clean energy hauling across the US

Need hauling but clean? Why not try the first ever hydrogen fuel cell semi-truck. With over 500 miles in range and 20 minutes refueling, the continent is your playground. As a Lead Controls Modeling and Analysis Engineer, I was responsible for validating control logic of the truck to ensure safety and reliability without getting into one. Lots of modeling, simulations and cost saving approaches. Sadly, these cost saving approaches were not enough. Nikola filed for bankruptcy due to significant market headwinds. I wish we would have survived; we had a great team of dedicated people.
